About the Department

The Department of Gastroenterology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the entire digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, biliary tract, and pancreas.

The department manages a wide range of conditions—from common disorders such as dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) to liver diseases, pancreatic and biliary disorders, and gastrointestinal cancers. Using advanced diagnostic tools such as endoscopy and imaging studies, the department focuses on early detection and effective treatment.

In addition, emphasis is placed on preventive care through dietary and lifestyle modification, supporting patients’ long-term digestive health.

The Department of Gastroenterology at Bucheon Sejong Hospital provides medical care for patients aged 16 years and older.
