About the Department

The Department of Cardiology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases, including angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and heart failure.

Because cardiac conditions can deteriorate suddenly, early detection and prompt treatment are critically important. The department provides accurate diagnoses using advanced diagnostic tools such as electrocardiography (ECG), echocardiography, and coronary angiography, and delivers comprehensive care encompassing medication therapy, interventional procedures, and cardiac rehabilitation.

In addition, a 24-hour emergency response system is in operation to ensure rapid treatment during the critical “golden time” for patients with acute cardiac conditions.

- Percutaneous mitral balloon valvuloplasty

12. Electrophysiologic study and catheter ablation:
Radiofrequency catheter ablation and cryoballoon ablation for atrial fibrillation
